When you send American Dollars the beneficiary will receive the money in the same currency (USD). The amount can be exchanged at the beneficiary discretion to the local currency (CUC) or Cuban pesos (CUP)

With a Delivery Card sending or receiving money in Cuba could not be simpler or more secure.

A. The recipient must already have a Delivery Card. Requesting and obtaining the card is free for the cardholder. When withdrawing cash; the cardholder will be able to select either US Dollars at the current rate exchange or Cuban Convertible Pesos where the 10 % tax will not be deducted.

B. If the money was “Express” transferred, the cardholder will receive the fund within 24 hours. It will take from 2 - 4 working days for Regular transfers to be debited to the recipient.

C. Money can be withdrawn by the cardholder 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the wide network of auto-tellers in the country at no extra cost. See List

D. The cardholder will also be able to withdraw cash at any of the Bank branches of most Cuban banks at no extra cost. See List

E. Additionally, the cardholder will be able to withdraw cash at any of the ‘Currency Exchange Establishments’ (CADECA) across the country at no extra cost. See List

F. Delivery Cards can be used as a payment method at over 6,000 establishments across the country, such as stores, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, etc. The purchase amount will be debited from the card’s balance, with no additional surcharge or tax.
